High-Risk wanted males detained and arrested

Good evening! 

The Moss Side and Wade Hall Neighbourhood Policing Team want to inform you regarding a policing incident which occurred yesterday on 13/08/2025 in the Leyland area.

At approximately 18:00 hours, officers have been conducting high visibility patrol around the local community when they have been called to a report of a male with a knife. 

The local NPT team acted fast and efficiently, detaining two males for a search. Both males were found to be WANTED in connection with a serious GBH incident and were subsequently arrested by PC 8586 Shortall. 

We really are stepping up our efforts in the fight against knife crime and crime in our local area so please be reassured that we are actively fighting to keep our neighbourhoods safe.
